Damaged Goodz started when Victor met Duane and Bob at a jam session and things just clicked. It didn't take long to realized that they had the same musical interests and the desire to revive the musicianship and authenticity which is so lacking in today's live Rock and Blues performances. As musicians we wanted to focus on our playing abilities and to provide the best listening concert experience that isn't necessarily "dance centered". From that point on our goal was to create a band using seasoned musicians who could capture and emulate the great concert bands of the 60's and 70's. Our listeners can choose to sit back and listen or if they feel the need to get up and shake their booties.
Building the band: Our search began for just the right lead singer and bassist who shared our musical ideas. It took awhile but it was well worth the effort! For a Vocalist we needed a singer who could cover a number of different genres yet had the vocal range and expressiveness to sing our style of rock music. Duane fit the bill perfectly. See his Bio.
For a Bassist we needed a solid foundation. Someone who could rock and thump and squeeze out that low end melody which is solely required and something all the great bassists have. Bob fit the bill perfectly. See his Bio.
Our mission is to bring back that concert atmosphere of the 60’s and 70’s. To play the music we love and to play it with conviction. Mission accomplished!
